Ruth O’Brien is a multidisciplinary artist and creative freelancer. Ruth’s interests span across all art forms but she has spent most of her artistic practice developing her singing voice and music composition & improvisation skills. In recent times, Ruth has also been developing her voice in other mediums including writing, public speaking and facilitating social media groups.
Musically, Ruth’s writing style infuses the sounds of blues, jazz and cabaret with pop and contemporary music. Lyrically, many of her songs hint at themes of love, loss, life lessons and everyday situations which she illustrates with colourful and descriptive language. In 2018, Ruth released her debut EP, Invaluable, which is available for download and streaming on all major platforms.
Damian has always had a passion for music but discovered his passion for guitar playing in high school. For over a decade Damian has studied performance and composition, learning from as many genres and styles as possible. He finished an Advanced Diploma of Music in 2014 and began busking and teaching music. He continued to develop his style of singing and acoustic guitar and joined with Ruth in 2014 to assist in the writing and production of “Invaluable”, Ruth’s debut EP.
