Pat Swell was at the cutting edge of arts and disability when the English arts funding system first started its development drive. Pat brought national recognition to her region for best practice and empowered the sector to run and manage England’s first arts and disability festival which took place in Aylesbury. Later, as senior officer at Arts Council England, she made arts and disability development a priority among her other roles, before becoming Strategic Director to Milton Keynes Theatre and Gallery Company.
Migrating to Australia and appointed Chief Executive of Access Arts, Pat has enjoyed leading Queensland’s peak body for arts and disability since 2012.
